North or South, New Zealand has exciting dining experiences popping up all over, and varies from the perfect spot for a quick lunch to the ideal location for an intimate dinner. Whatever you’researching for, we’ve given you a headstart. Here are seven of the newest and most exciting restaurants to watch (and visit!) in 2026. 

  • Executive Chef Antoine Collet takes diners on a tour of the very freshest Aotearoa produce and elevated French flavours in this harbourside establishment.
