About the restaurant
Inside a heritage trading building in Britomart, Cheshire Architects have built Mr Morris around distressed walls, earthy tones and exposed timber, concrete pillars and an open kitchen anchoring a room that feels intimate and alive. Chef Michael Meredith brings his Pacific-inspired lens to New Zealand produce here, grilling front and centre across a menu that runs à la carte or as a tasting experience: fresh oysters, wood-fired meats and vegetable dishes confident enough to headline. Chic and sophisticated without losing its warmth, it's equally suited to marking an occasion or a good Tuesday.
