Bar Albert, the rooftop establishment at voco Auckland, is celebrating its new neighbour with a night of good food and great company. Located at ONGI, this special event will trace the rich 600-year history of Korean street food, from simple market bites and post-war comfort food to lively pojangmacha and today’s global K-cuisine scene. The experience features a four-course dinner, each dish thoughtfully paired with soju, rice wine and a Korean-inspired cocktail. The experience is part of How We Eat, a curated series that spotlights seven culturally rich restaurants throughout Auckland.

For one special evening, Bistro Saine executive chef Yutak Son and Daily Bread co-founder Tom Hishon are exploring the ingredients of Aotearoa through a 19th century Parisian lens. Thursday, August 13, 6pm, $165pp
Two chefs, one region, one night. This exciting collaboration sees culinary heavyweights Michael Meredith (Metita) and Wallace Mua (Trivet) join forces to celebrate the ingredients, methods and traditions of Pacific cuisine. Expect bold, layered flavours, surprising touches and dishes that bridge old and new – plus a welcome drink on arrival.
